70 Hadith For Children
By Ustaz Qazi
Back in 2015, when I decided to teach my kids hadith, I wasn’t able to find any books on hadith for children that included both the original Arabic and decent English translation. So, I went through the 40 Hadith and Riyad as-Saliheen by the great Imam Nawawi, as well as some other sources to select hadith that I thought would be great for kids and meet the goals below. There were a lot to choose from, so I limited it to just seventy. Over the next couple of years, I taught them to my school-aged kids (elementary, middle, and high school) and had them memorize the text of hadith in Arabic. The experiment went well, so I thought to myself, why not publish it for other Muslim kids! Fahimuddin F Qazi
Goals Of This Book
1) Build character, iman, and Islamic morality.
2) Cover major topics in our beautiful religion of Islam
3) Avoid sophisticated theological and legal topics that are appropriate for adults, specialists, students of Islam, or Islamic scholars.
4) Empower the teachers of Islamic studies at Sunday schools as well as full-time Islamic schools
5) Enrich the Islamic studies curriculum at Islamic schools and homeschools.
6) Make it easy enough so that an everyday Muslim parent with basic Islamic education can teach it to their kids.
7) Keep the translation short and simple, and provide brief explanatory notes.
