QL2 A/B: Essentials of Quranic Grammar
Intended only for students who have successfully completed Level One of Quranic Linguistics series, QL2 provides technical details of the theory of Arabic Grammar. With systematic and direct application to hundreds of Quranic verses, students will master foundational topics in Arabic grammar to gain deep insights into the syntax, inflection, semantics, and introduction to famous commentaries (tafaseer) of the Quran.
QL3 A/B: Adv Morphology & Grammar, Introductory Rhetoric
A linguistic study of selected passages of the Quran, the course delves into the intricate meanings, nuances, and styles of the inimitable Quranic Arabic by integrating the study of grammar and morphology (from QL1 and QL2) to prepare the student for the next part—rhetoric (البلاغة). Rhetoric, the highest discipline in Arabic, combines just about all of the fields of Arabic into a language that is effective and eloquent. In this level, we travel 1400 years into history to get glimpses of the powerful rhetorical effects of the Quranic Arabic on the people of the Arabian Peninsula as it was being revealed at the tongue of the last prophet of God, Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم
