The Story of the Quran – Easy Quranic Sciences

 

What are Quranic sciences? Critical disciplines that are necessary to understand the various aspects of the Quran. Without these disciplines, the Quran simply cannot be read and understood. Without these disciplines, the Quran cannot be interpreted.  Without these disciplines, we simply cannot apply the knowledge of the Quran to solve new and emerging problems facing humanity.  Examples of Quranic sciences include:  Arabic linguistics (علوم اللغة), Quranic orthography (الرسم العثماني), recital modes (القراءات), collation, causes of revelation (أسباب النزول), Islamic legal theory (أصول الفقه), tajwid (التجويد), exegesis (التفسير), and others.
